HELLO MY FELLOW TROMBONISTS! :D

20th novemeber 2010 was the recognition ceremony. Well, we all are very nervous for just 1 thing only; best section. After the emcees had said: "The best section of 2010 goes to.. TROMBONE SECTION!" I walk up to the stage with pride and a wide smile on my face. I shook hand with mr poh and he told me that the section has to work hard. I thanked him and i hold the certificate as if it was my wife. LOL! :D

Well, trombonists.. We had finally did it. I have been waiting for this day and it finally flew past right infront of our eyes. I have been targetting the award since last year but it turns out i getting the best cadet award but it isn't what i want & trumpet getting the award. That's the reason i keep telling you guys at least we must try to made an effort to strive for best section & this year despite all the scoldings from mr poh, mr yap or the alumnis. We managed to peserevere all the way till the end, clinching the award. (:

We had finally carved our section name on the 'best section award list'. Many kudos and thanks to all of you guys! You guys had really made my band days fun and exciting. It's been thrilling to be your section leader for last year and this year till end of the outdoor. Without you guys, trombone section will not even exists! A big thank you to all of you again! :D Also, we could'nt done with countless help from our section alumnis! Thank you all! (:

P.S. How can i forget to say that our section also have the best sec 1 of 2010; CHONG TENG YAW! Teng yaw ah, if you happen to pass by this blog. Do read this. Best sec 1 eh, must be serious in your music and marching le. Who knows? You might be the next drum major. (: Haha. Congrats once again! WORK HARD! But player harder! ^^ If you need any help, you can approach your seniors for guidance. (: Jiayou!

To the sec 4s: Well, the 4 of you.. zhaoxun, jacqueline, jiafeng and hyun jun. Thanks for almost everything la. Haha, for zhaoxun and jiafeng.. For the guidance, teaching & scolding me when i do stupid stuffs in/to the section. Haha. For jacquline, for nagging in the section but a positive one & helping me! HAHA! To hyun jun; erm, cooperating with me + entertaining the section. Haha. (:

To the sec 3s: Well, yuni and shikin. To yuni; MY SL AH! The girl who keep calling me grandpa. Haha, well.. even though i can tell you're abit scared leading the section. But still, as days pass by, your confidence grow.. and see?! Now you're alright already Haha. Stay that way, when the sec 4 seniors gradute, the section is yours already. Jiayou!! To Shikin: My UIC head, thanks for your guidance when i'm abit lost in the section and also, all your little funny jokes that you love to inject into the section. (: Do remember to work hard in your department. :D

To the sec 2s: Jeremy, thanks for injecting so much humour into the section even though this private have to scold you for don't know how many times. Haha. We all appreciated and the section do have a good laugh too. :D Haha. Do work hard and when yuni & shikin graduate le, you cfm is SL le lor. Jiayou ba! (:

To the sec 1s: Niyas! Haha, you're a good player seriously. Within 1 practice you can play bflat concert, flutter + high notes. I'm very amazed. (: But ah, your marching abit sloppy uh! Just work on that & i can tell you, you are a very good trombonists already! Work hard alright? (:

Okay, i think i had talk too much craps already. Haha. Well, cya trombonists on the next band practice. TROMBONE SECTION ROCKS MY SOCKS! :D

2 more days to school reopen... wow... lets really play hard and look forward and accept new challenges ... a total strength of 9.... dun make it just only 9.... show ppl that 9 ppl can also work things out just like a strength of 12 or 15 ^^ more section bonding and outing will be upcoming... which i will try my very best to plan.... anyone interested i mean as in also free ... can help me and share more idea ??? haha.... lets train ourselves up not just our physical strength... but also mental strength and build up the bond in us^^

Hello TROMBONISTS! Back with updates.
So yesterday is our ROD and alot of seniors came back though and also,
We are all anxious to know best section, best sec 1 and best cadet.
But also, we wanna know best section am i right?? Haha..
So when the actual ceremony starts, my heart really beat very fast..
Until when they announced best section, my heart beats until the climax.
until they said: "Best section...... TRUMPET SECTION".
Then i feel relieved somehow or rather but also, i feel sad.
Was really praying that we'll get best section but in the end, we did'nt.
Sorry guys, guess that we're not enough bonded i guess? ><
But still, there's always next time.
Sometimes the results is not always at the end, but in the process. (:
So yeah, grats to trumpet section for getting best section! (:

So also congrats to jonathan for best sec 1s! (:
And i can't believe it that i get the best cadet! :O
Cause i'm aiming for best section but in the end,
I got best cadet. :O But still, it was worth it.

this is my first time posting , i feel so excited and now i don't know wad to post already , lols ;x ROD is finally over O:! now is YOG ! and outdoor (: i bet everyone is tired but that is so call how life is like in this type of cca . i think it's a good experience though . facing through loads of hardship , obstacles , discipline ect . but then best thing of all is that , you are not alone because we are going through this together as a section :D

Hello my fellow trombonists, thanks for your care and concern, im feeling much more better now. (: I've been running up and down for last and this week as for some of us our schelude is very tight and i almost came back to school everyday and also, stressing about the section for some times. :X Until i fall sick 2 days ago, i though it was just a passing sickness but i was wrong, condition became more worst yesterday and start-ed to have fever, headache, cough, flu and sorethroat. ._. But continue to practice for YOG event.

It shows that we must persevere no matter what. Even though you're sick but at least try to come for band in the afternoon so that at least you'll learn something. That's one of the things i learn in band and i hope you guys will continue to persevere no matter what problems you had. Life is always full of obstacles and we must overcome 1 by 1 but in band, we overcome it as a SECTION! So trombonists, GAMBATEH! And keep up the good attandance! (:

but sad to say, we gotten bronze again! ):
but it's okay, cause it's not the award that matters!
what matters most, is the team spirit & the amount of hard work we have put in.

nevermind, we shall just work harder for the next drill comp!

Trombonists, im very glad that you guys are improving on your marching and music. But attitude and discipline wise, still not there. But still, take step by step. There's always time to be serious and there's time for us to have fun.

Just now don't you have a great feeling when mr poh praised the section? But still, we must be humble. We cannot be too happy yet and after his praise and we start to be over confident. We still must continue to work hard. ;D I know that sometimes we may get scoldings but very scoldings make us a better person and a better musician. Just note that. (:

I can still remember when i take on SL post, i was not very confident. I always called people to help or guide me regardless of music or marching and i always care about rank at that time as i though rank is everything in band and also i abused my power as a SL and made the section hate me and they starts to complain in their blogs and to the majors about me. Until zhaoxun scolded and reprimand me and here i am, a better person/SL. Winston also chip in and talk to the section and talk to me also. WIthout them, i think that i still abusing my power. Haha.. Old memories.. But still, i must thank winston and zhaoxun and also, the section. Without them, i may be still abusing my power. Haha, old memories.. ;D

Now we must clear the hatred in our section. Perhaps we'll find 1 day and settle down and discuss about it? What do you say, trombonists? ;D

After reading the section journal( 2007 - 2008).. this really wake me up and things that Winston and tahir say do come true... i really feel touch after reading it... and i feel liked crying and disapointed...

Things that is last time have already past... why am i saying ?? u guys might think about this right... but i just feel that we should reflect on ourselves.. what have happen in the past and wat have we have now? We are wasting our senior effort... The kind of effort in term of teaching and guidance... u ppl also say that in their birthday card? Why not prove to them , i think action do speak louder than words? During Syf outdoor 2008..Winston actually found out that the band i lacking of unity but end up... we still make it... few days before syf , tahir injured his hand badly but he still put on his best during the competition... What those this conclude... As long as we stay together as one , never give up... we still can be back to that time and things will moves smoothly...

Although lots of changes in band, conflict here and there. why not we just do our part and put in the best... i not try to say about anyone... i just feel that everyone want to learn some value in this band... if u really hate that person just tell him or her.. but if he or she is giving instruction, u cant respect him or her.. at least give them face and cooperate... What to hate a person and giving attidute everytime u see them? everyone have their strength and weakness? if u think they wrong just tell them ... need not to show attudute... dun take it as a habit?

Dont forget.... what our senior have do for us... For example, Jonathan... when he just join the section.. no one like him.. which include me and malik... but after we see the other side of him .. we are now friends... I wont forget the laughter that he gave us and during outdoor period. he start Disturbing he tong by call him xiao tong... Haha... Band do carry us alot of memories if u start to reflect u will remember....

well, it's time to update (?)

since i cant update the blog now as i dontknow what should i update -.-
i need Zhaoxun & Hetong now laa, but both also not online ):

anyways, there are many changes made to the section during the last few practices & what i can say is, im aint very happy with it. still, you might say we are still a band but sad to say, we are not A BAND anymore; more to cliques & sections, you can actually feel the distance between 1 section & another & im not afraid to say that i prefer trombone section last time! ): where Jeffrey, Jonathan, Winston & Malik are still with us (?) but people change when they graduated or have another life, that is life. i guess that not only me could tell that, the people coming for band now is not because they enjoyed music but because they just wanna have fun slacking or just coming cause they want to get a post in band.

i mean what so great about having a post in band & reflect for a second, do you even think you have the responsibility & capability to have sucha position. if you are saying that having a post in band, everyone will respect you or you can order people around then you are jolly well WRONG! because everyone in band should be respected equally & we are not your slaves or dogs to be ordered around. we come for band to learn & not to be train like some dogs that only take orders from you committees.

shouldnt committees be somebody who we can turn to when we are having problems & correct us when we are really wrong? shouldnt they be impartial, treat every member of the band equally & be more discipline as they are sort of the role model for the band? YES, they are more discipline but attitude wise, they have failed badly. im not trying to say all the committees but some! yeah, that 1 or 2 committees i couldn't stand in band because they are just abusing their so-called powers or maybe the status that they are the seniors in band & especially 1 that is very biased and trying all ways to punished the people she doesnt like! oh, we are just being kind to help your sub-committees to lighten his burden because apparently you throw everything single thing to him and happily go for your lesson, leaving no one to help him! please, how is he gonna complete his task in such a short time! i thought band teach us to care & help one another? shouldnt we apply this theory when such time like this is needed? you even scolded us for helping cause you said we were not allowed to help. bunch of CRAPS! even your sub-committees are doing better and more jobs than you and HAHAHA, the head of committees are getting all the credits if they do well & if it is scolding, the sub-committees kena! how ironic -.-

apparently, nothing is right in the band anymore despite Mr Poh & graduated seniors giving lecture on trying to change the band's attitude. i pity them, cause things still remain the same! & more people are quitting & skipping band cause they are treated unfairly or because they cant be bothered with the band anymore as it is not longer a BAND. might as well just call it Trombone, Cliques, Tuba...ect. instead of PYMB since it is no longer like bonded(?) just look at the band table now & compared it with last time. you think for a second, why would people like Jeffrey quit band after going through so much for outdoor? you think he likes it to have his effort all wasted? i dont think so, there is just something wrong with the band system, people backstabbing one another & anti-here&there but at least there are still some great majors & committees around unlike those hypocrite & biased ones.
